Dyslexia

Scott E. Olitsky, M.D.

Reading disorders in children present a complex and often frustrating set of problems. Often this frustration leads to a search for a logically simple cure. Current research has failed to implicate vision as a source of these problems. Dyslexia is a much more global dysfunction and its treatment requires a broad based approach. This article discusses the causes and effective treatments for children with dyslexia. It also addresses the apparent association with visual dysfunction.
