Ophthalmic Diagnosis and Evaluation of Prism Therapy for Ocular Myasthenia

Sally Moore, C.O., Patricia Welter, M.D.

Myasthenia Gravis causes weakness and fatiguability of voluntary muscles as acetylcholine receptors at neuromuscular junctions become damaged by a variety of autoimmune factors. We have reviewed the ocular manifestations of 41 consecutive patients with ocular myasthenia as well as assessed their response to prism therapy in light of a variable disease.
