Neuro-ophthalmic Considerations in Orthoptics
J Raymond Buncic, MD
An orthoptic examination may reveal findings that may have neurological significance. Fixation problems, nystagmus, central neurological strabismus, diplopia and neurological amblyopia are discussed. An awareness of history changing, onset of symptoms and progression of signs is essential to identify potential neurological problems.
